More than a venue
A Home for Gentle Souls
Long before the chapel was built, the land was a place of refuge. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Jefferson, NC, Little Chapel Ranch is home to a small horse sanctuary where rescued and retired horses live out their days in peace, surrounded by rolling pastures and mountain air.
Each horse here has a story. Some arrived malnourished, others simply aged out of working life. What they share is a second chance, and a family that loves them deeply.
When you celebrate here, you share this land with them. You may catch a glimpse of them grazing at the fence line, or hear the soft sound of hooves on morning grass. They are not a backdrop — they are part of the soul of this place.
Life on the land
The Sanctuary
Every horse that calls this ranch home is loved by name, cared for with intention, and given the freedom to simply be. This is not a working ranch, it's a place of rest.
Rescued & Retired
Our horses come from varied backgrounds — retired from work, rescued from neglect, or simply in need of a softer life. Each one is cherished.
Pasture Life
Rolling green pastures give the horses space to roam freely. They graze, rest, and live as nature intended, with the mountains always in view.
Loved by Wendy
Wendy tends to the horses with the same devotion that built the chapel — personally, carefully, and with deep love.
Mountain Setting
Set against the Blue Ridge skyline in Jefferson, NC, the ranch is one of the most beautiful places these horses could call home.
